15 Steps to Improve Your Notion Dashboard Aesthetics:


1. Use Dark Mode (Ctrl + Shift + L)
  • From a purely aesthetics point of view you can't deny that dark mode looks way better.

  • It's also a lot easier on the eyes.


2. Use Animated Covers
  • You can upload GIFs as Notion covers and icons

  1. Hide database titles
  • Hide all of your database titles

  • It looks messy and there is a better way…


  1. Remove database view names
  • Rename database views with a space to remove the text


  1. Rename database views
  • If you need names for your views, use lower-case letters

  • It just looks a lot cleaner


  1. Add icons to your database views
  • Change the default database view icons


  1. Group list views to relations
  • Organize list view databases to relations with icons


  1. Put databases inside of callout boxes
  • Set the callout box color to default and drop your database inside
